“Our Wedding at the Holiday Inn East Kilbride”

Where do I begin - We simply cannot thank The Holiday Inn East Kilbride enough for all their help and support for our recent wedding. Our day was absolutely amazing and it was all down to the staff at The Holiday Inn.

Carla was an amazing events manager and made the planning so enjoyable and easy. Carla was always on hand to help with any query we had and nothing was ever too much trouble. I loved our weekly emails and Carla understood exactly what we wanted and made it happen. I would recommend Carla and her team as wedding planners any day! Carla was like our wedding fairy.

On our wedding day Claire and her team were excellent - from putting me at ease before walking down the aisle to making sure all the guests had a ball right up till the very last minute. Claire was a perfect master of Ceremonies and it felt like a friend was helping us with everything. The simple touches meant the world to us so thank you for everything.

The honeymoon suite was big, spacious and perfect for us, the food was amazing and the DJ - James - provided by the hotel was brilliant.

To sum up we would absolutely recommend The Holiday Inn East Kilbride to anyone who is looking to get married, our guests had a ball and they all commented on how gorgeous the food was, and how amazing the hotel looked. Carla and Claire made the day exceptionally special and we cannot praise them enough.

“The most you can get for such an outstanding rate”

Staying at our 5th Hotel in Scotland we consistently experienced a nice hotel. Check-In was fast, staff very friendly. Room was spacious and qiuet. Bathroom clean and convenient. Free pool, fitness club also available. Breakfast was good with a wide choice and friendly staff. Unbeatable value for money!

 

“Great Hotel with fab leisure facilities”

Family break with 10 year old-we have been to this hotel several times and all love it. The leisure facilities are great. Husband was away for the evening with our car, so we had to eat in at the hotel, as there are no restaurants near by. There was a 3.2.1. deal on but I being the only adult didn't qualify. I found the menu rather expensive and certainly not enough food to fill me. I got a side dish which helped. I had the trout, which was beautifully cooked but it was served with cold cous cous, it was meant to be cold but it didn't go with the hot fish. Talking to another quest, she agreed that the dish was let down by the cold cous cous. Son had a 3 course meal, which he enjoyed immensly and it was children eat free, so a real bonus.
If you have children, the Calderglen country park is only a mile away and it's a real delight. It has a mini zoo and a great play park. There are walks by the river. A real gem.
East Kilbride is only a short drive to Glasgow, so this hotel is a perfect stop over and usually great value for money. Thank you once again. We'll be back.

 

“Grandson's first visit to Scotland”

We booked to take our 13 year old grandson to Scotland for his first visit, we were pleasantly surprised by the large family room, we had breakfast only which had plenty of choice and was fresh and hot. The pool and gym is very good, the staff were friendly and helpful, (although I would suggest a small map of the local area might be of assistance.) My only comment is that the toiletries were not replaced once they had been used but saying that we did not mention this to anyone and may have been an oversight, but we did stay 3 nights. Overall lovely hotel, lovely room, lovely three days.
